Take One Action Film Festival
Established in 2008, Take One Action are an Edinburgh-based, independent charity who believe that shared cinematic experience can catalyse lasting change. Through film screenings, conversation and enquiry, they bring people together to inspire a fairer, more sustainable and more fulfilling world, in Scotland and beyond its borders. For its 13th edition, the festival shifted online for the first time in its history due to the global pandemic, showcasing nearly 30 feature length and short films alongside a programme of live digital Q&As, conversations and workshops.
I was asked to create an identity that conveyed the sense of connection and impact at the heart of their work, whilst standing out in a increasingly crowded digital landscape. Inspired by the movement of a clapperboard, I designed a logotype and symbol to be used as a pair across all elements of the brand. Once the festival shifted back to a hybrid and then physical presence, I designed printed booklets and programs as well as posters.
